Women Thriving. Colorado Rising.

2021 Advocating for Impact Virtual Trainings

Join WFCO and members of our statewide community!

Learn about issues that impact women’s economic security, develop skills to influence legislation, and take action to build more equitable systems and a stronger Colorado for us all.

At one-and-a-half hours each, the trainings will be different each month and are designed to build on each other. If you miss a training, you can review the recordings and resources for each training below.

* As a result of the violent attack on democracy at the U.S. Capitol last week, the entire country is on high alert for the days leading up to and during the Inauguration. The purpose of our Advocating for Impact series is to provide responsible and respectful understanding of and tools to engage in building community, civil society, democracy and peaceful discourse. We recognize that while Inauguration Day should seem perfect for fulfilling that goal, this year there could be other priorities for your attention.

Therefore, WFCO decided to begin the Advocating for Impact training series on February 17th and to extend the training series through June. When you initially registered for the Advocating for Impact virtual trainings you were automatically registered for the training series. There is no need to re-register and you will be registered for the entire series including the additional training in June.

In the meantime, we wanted to share WFCO’s curated Civic Engagement and Anti-Racism resources. Please share the training opportunity with your network.

Please feel free to reach out to Alison Friedman Phillips, director of programs, at alisonp@wfco.org if you have any questions. We appreciate your engagement with WFCO and look forward to connecting in February.

“What I really enjoyed about the advocacy training was the opportunity to engage in advocacy right there and then…It was powerful and exactly what I needed.”

- Northern Colorado 2020 Advocating for Impact attendee
“In my life and work, I’ve seen very few big or important things get accomplished without some form of advocacy. I’m encouraged – and grateful - WFCO is helping women in Colorado more effectively raise their voices for the things that matter to them and their families.”
