wfco Volunteer Opportunities
How to Give Your Time, Talent, Treasure, and Testimony
As a community foundation, most of our impact is achieved through the collective impact of generous donations, collaborative efforts, and strategic partnerships in public policy advocacy, research, and grantmaking. Volunteer opportunities with WFCO are sporadic, however, dozens of volunteers help out with our Annual Luncheon, our direct service grantmaking committee reviews applications annually for our WAGES grantee cohort, and a committee of community members reviews applications annually for The Greater Vail Valley Women's Fund.
In the interest of community safety during COVID-19, WFCO is currently not offering volunteer opportunities beyond the above-mentioned opportunities. However, we can always use your passion in the following ways as an ambassador for The Foundation: sharing the research that guides our work, advocating for systems changes that will improve opportunities for women, and joining our community conversations.
If you have questions, please contact Manushkka Sainvil, executive and board coordinator, at manushkkas@wfco.org.
Volunteer with a direct service grantee
We encourage those wanting to give their time and talent to advance Colorado women and their families more frequently to explore volunteer opportunities with our WAGES (Women Achieving Greater Economic Security) direct service grantees.
“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.” — Unknown
