Meet Our Special Guests

Join The Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s Annual Luncheon for an unforgettable afternoon of bold humor and powerful conversation with comedians Cristela Alonzo and Margaret Cho. These unfiltered and unstoppable performers will remind us that laughter can be both medicine and momentum—accelerating progress for women and their families across Colorado.

Headshot of Cristela Alonzo

Cristela Alonzo is a trailblazing comedian, actress, writer, and producer who made history as the first Latina to create, write, and star in her own network sitcom, Cristela. Her acclaimed Netflix specials—Lower Classy, Middle Classy, and Upper Classy—showcase her signature blend of sharp humor and heartfelt storytelling.

On stage, Alonzo moves seamlessly from laugh-out-loud comedy to powerful reflection, sharing stories shaped by her experience as a first-generation Mexican American. Her work invites audiences to see both the challenges and possibilities of today’s world, sparking conversations that linger long after the applause.

Known for her authenticity and warmth, Alonzo brings people together through humor, insight, and a message of resilience that resonates across generations. She channels that same passion into advocacy for immigration rights, citizenship, and economic opportunity.

Headshot of Margaret Cho

Five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee Margaret Cho has long been one of entertainment’s most fearless voices. Since beginning her stand-up career at just 14, Cho’s socially aware, no-holds-barred comedy has made her both a cultural provocateur and a powerful advocate for truth-telling.

An accomplished performer across film, television, books, music, and theater, Cho’s undeniable creative spark lights up every stage she steps onto. Her comedy blends biting wit with deep compassion, challenging audiences to laugh, think, and see the world differently.

Beyond the stage, Cho is a passionate advocate for social justice. She has received the Victory Fund’s Leadership Award, the first-ever Best Comedy Performance Award at the Asian Excellence Awards, the First Amendment Award from the ACLU of Southern California, and the Intrepid Award from the National Organization for Women.
