2020 Annual Luncheon FAQs

Thursday, August 27th through Sunday, August 30th
For additional questions not addressed below about The Women's Foundation of Colorado's 2020 Annual Luncheon please contact Kristina Vaio at kristinav@wfco.org or 303-285-2967.

1. How can I attend the Annual Luncheon as an individual?

Individual House Party Kits are perfect for a Party of One or virtual gatherings. You can sign up here to receive your free virtual kit to the luncheon in August. Within it, you’ll receive a special link to the virtual luncheon program and digital WFCO information to enjoy the luncheon without attending or throwing a party.

2. How do I achieve my fundraising goal?

Within your House Party Kit, you will find tips and ideas on how to easily achieve your fundraising goal. Your goal can be met through various ways – a personal donation, donations from your House Party guests, selling “tickets” to your House Party, or committing to a monthly donation to The Foundation.

WFCO will also provide you with the ways to give to The Foundation – from its types of giving programs, giving envelopes, to instructions for giving online. Have a good idea? Share it with us so we can spread the LOVE!

3. As a House Party host, am I financially responsible for my fundraising goal?

WFCO would love for House Parties to achieve their fundraising goals in support of the work of The Foundation, however, hosts are not financially required to achieve the fundraising goal.

4. What is the cost of a House Party Kit?

  • There are multiple House Party Kits options for you to choose from:
  • $500 Luxe Kit, $100 Host Kit, and a free Individual Kit.
  • If you are a member of Power of Extended Philanthropy (PEP) or Empowerment Council (EC) you have an option for a special $100 PEP or $50 EC House Party Kit.

Each kit comes with unique benefits to support the host. Here you can find the benefits that accompany each House Party Kit.

5. When and where can I host a party?

You can host your House Party anytime from Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30. Choose a time that is best for you and your guests – your party could be a Saturday brunch, Friday afternoon happy hour, or Sunday lunch. Talk about a long lunch! House Parties can be held at your home, in your backyard, at your office, or in any community space welcoming social gatherings. Visit our House Party Host Tips page for some fun House Party ideas and resources.

6. Who should I invite to my House Party?

House Parties are a great way to share WFCO with your network – you can invite friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, book club members, friends within professional networking groups, etc.

Have a friend from afar interested in joining your party as well? With our new virtual model, you can share your party with guests across the country. Do you know men that care about women’s equality? Every year hundreds of men attend our Annual Luncheon to support the work of The Foundation. Invite the men you know that care about the women in their lives.

7. How will I receive my house party kit?

Your House Party Kit will come in two parts. Upon signing up for the kit, you will receive access to a electronic invitation to send to your House Party guests. The second week of August, you will receive your physical House Party Kit in the mail.

8. How can I view the Annual Luncheon?

On Monday, August 24 you will receive an email from Kristina Vaio, WFCO’s development officer and events manager, with a special link to the virtual luncheon program.

9. What technology do I need access to in order to host a party?

You can view the luncheon from your computer, smart tv, or even project it. Don’t know how? Not a problem! In mid-June, WFCO will be sharing the viewing platform the luncheon program will be on and all the technology you will need to stream it from your device. More details to come.

10. What do I do after my party?

After your party, collect the giving envelopes you passed out to your guests and mail them back to WFCO in the large envelope included in your House Party Kit at 1901 E. Asbury Ave. Denver, CO 80210. In your House Party Kit there are WFCO LOVE thank you cards to send to your guests. Lastly, if you or your party guests have any questions about the work of The Foundation or how to further engage with WFCO, feel free to reach out to Kristina Vaio at kristinav@wfco.org.

*WFCO loves you and we care about your health and safety. All house parties must comply with local, state, and federal orders and guidelines for social gatherings in effect at the time of your House Party. We know that this can be confusing, so we recommend checking state and local public health orders for preventing the spread of COVID-19. You can also reference federal orders and guidelines. As the date for house parties approaches, we will provide more information for hosts and guests based on the guidelines and orders in effect at that time.
