Abby Wambach 

Legend, Leader, and Game Changer

Named one of TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World," Abby Wambach has built her legacy as a transformational leader. Possessing two Olympic gold medals, a World Cup victory, and a record-breaking career as one of soccer’s greatest goal scorers, Abby’s incredible legacy is rooted in turning challenges into opportunities for growth. Also known for her top podcast “We Can Do Hard Things” and as a best-selling author, Abby brings her grit and passion to every arena she enters.

Meet Our 2025 Annual Luncheon Co-Chairs

 Sara Reynolds

Sara Reynolds, principal and founder of Accelerated Impact Solutions, has over 20 years’ experience in nonprofit management and local government expertise.  Her experience includes 10 years as the membership services director for the Colorado Municipal League, a statewide advocacy organization serving the needs of municipal elected officials and senior administrators of over 250 cities and towns in the state. Sara Reynolds spent an additional six years as the executive director of Housing Colorado, a statewide affordable housing advocacy association that advanced state policy to increase housing resources, funding and availability in communities across the state.

Sara most recently served as vice president of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association, incorporating a 501(c)3 foundation – the Colorado Energy Foundation. It coordinates industry-wide community investment initiatives on behalf of industry and champion programs that reduce systemic barriers to opportunity for all Coloradans. In her role of executive director of the Colorado Energy Foundation, she directed efforts addressing environmental justice, energy affordability, and coalition building with nonprofit community partners. As a consultant, she assists clients in project management of strategic initiatives, board-level strategy development and implementation, and stakeholder engagement and coalition-building. She is a trustee of The Women’s Foundation of Colorado and a PEP member. 

 

 Simone Ross

Simone D. Ross, an influential Colorado-based leader, brings extensive expertise to her roles as CEO of the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, executive director of the Colorado Women's Chamber Foundation, and founder of her change management consulting firm. Armed with both an M.A. and M.B.A. from Colorado State University, she has built an impressive corporate career at organizations including Kaiser Permanente, Delta Dental of Colorado, SCL Health, and The Riveter. 

Her exceptional leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Denver Business Journal's "Outstanding Women in Business" and "40 Under 40," a COBiz Gen XYZ Most Influential honoree, a Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction, and placement among the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce. 

Beyond her professional achievements, Simone demonstrates her commitment to community through board service with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, the Colorado Enterprise Fund, The Denver Foundation, The Colorado Music Hall of Fame, and the Economic Development Association for Black Communities, alongside appointed positions with the Colorado Secretary of State. As a distinguished speaker, she has shared her insights on prestigious platforms including TEDx and various corporate leadership summits, while her thought leadership on equity in business and organizational change management has appeared in numerous business journals and industry publications. Throughout her career, Simone has remained dedicated to creating inclusive and equitable systems within organizations, all while being a proud mother to her children, Gavin and Zoe.
