What to Know Before You Go

Meet Special Guest Sallie KrawcheckSallie Krawcheck headshot: White woman with short blonde bob, blue blazer, and black blouse

Our families, workplaces, communities, and economy are stronger when we invest in women.

That’s why The Women’s Foundation of Colorado is thrilled to announce Sallie Krawcheck as our 2023 Annual Luncheon Special Guest. As the CEO and co-founder of Ellevest, a wealthtech company built by women, for women, Sallie Krawcheck’s professional mission is to get more money into the hands of women and close the gender wealth gap. She has famously said, “Nothing bad happens when women have more money.”

A Wall Street trailblazer and widely recognized as one of the most influential women in business, Sallie was CEO of Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, and US Trust. She was also CFO for Citigroup.

Fortune named her “The Last Honest Analyst” and Barron’s deemed her among the “Most Influential People in ESG Investing.” She passionately speaks about the power of diversity, the myths of meritocracy, and the gender investing gap.

 Ankita Jhaveri

Ankita is a mom, wife, aunty, and sister; a peer, friend, leader, learner, neighbor, and everything in between; an aspiring writer; a yoga enthusiast; a reluctant runner. She is inspired by all that people carry as they navigate the world. Her two daughters are her greatest accomplishment and greatest love; they remind her to never stop fighting for what is right. Born and raised in India, Ankita is the younger daughter of immigrant parents. She was taught to thrive across boundaries of age, gender, language, race, socioeconomic status, and culture among others.

After working in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors for 12 years to improve impact, efficiency, and outcomes, Ankita recently launched RE.Envision Consulting, founded on the belief that communities of color need to reclaim their power, elevate their voices, and RE.Envision their futures. RE.Envision partners with nonprofits, foundations, and other purpose-driven entities to improve lives of those most underserved and overlooked through relationships, collaboration, and partnerships. By situating her work within the larger context, paradigms, and verbal and nonverbal social agreements, her work strives to shift, interrupt, and create new patterns, mindsets, and systems.

Before Launching RE.Envision Consulting, Ankita was an Associate Director with the Margulf Foundation, which focuses its grantmaking on innovation and talent in education. Prior to Margulf Foundation, Ankita was a consultant with JFF, working with leaders to develop and implement equitable and inclusive career pathways to improve opportunities for economic growth and upward social mobility for families and communities.
