Women Thriving. Colorado Rising.

2024 Advocating4Impact

Join WFCO and members of our statewide community!

Learn about issues that impact women’s economic security, develop skills to influence legislation, and take action to build more equitable systems and a stronger Colorado for us all.

WFCO works with legislators and our lobbyists throughout the session to pass bills that create meaningful change for women. But we can't do it without you! Join our statewide network of advocates by attending our "Advocating4Impact" trainings. Free and open to the public, these two interactive virtual sessions will give you tools and guidance for becoming more engaged in the legislative process and making an impact for Colorado women and families. Spanish interpretation and closed captioning are available for both trainings. At one-and-a-half hours each, the trainings will be different each month and are designed to build on each other. If you miss a training, you can review the recordings and resources for each training below.

Goals:

  • Cultivate community involvement in equitable systems change by creating a free and accessible community resource
  • Create an inclusive, dynamic, and engaging virtual civic engagement training space for participants
  • Develop the confidence and skills of participants to engage in advocacy as a part of WFCO and as individuals
  • Advance WFCO policy priorities through education, connection, and action
“WFCO’s Advocating4Impact trainings provide insight into how each of us can actively support legislation that shapes the lives of women and girls in Colorado, and ultimately the opportunities they are afforded. I particularly valued gaining greater knowledge into the issues at hand and in practical terms, understanding the the implications of their day-to-day impact. Take this opportunity to learn how to most effectively raise your voice for Colorado women and families."
