Women’s Impact Investing Giving Circle
Social Ventures Led By, Benefiting Women Underinvesed In
In 2023, the Small Business Administration issued nearly $34 billion to business owners across the U.S. Only a third of those loans went to female owners. And yet the number of women-owned businesses between 2019 and 2023 increased at nearly double the rate of those owned my men.
You can change that.
As a member of Women’s Impact Investing Giving Circle at The Women's Foundation of Colorado in partnership with Impact Finance Center, your philanthropy will directly expand funding opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Together, members will determine how to deploy their pooled resources to support social ventures led by and benefiting women while receiving a hands-on education from WFCO partner, Impact Finance Center.

2025 Will Prioritize Women's Health Innovation
This cycle will prioritize investments in women’s health entrepreneurship and innovation. Investing in women’s health innovation and entrepreneurship is central to WFCO’s mission because it advances both equity and opportunity. Women, especially women of color, face persistent barriers to accessing quality health care, participating in clinical research, and receiving funding to launch solutions that address their unique needs. Yet, they are also the most likely to lead community-based, culturally responsive efforts that improve health outcomes for all. By directing capital toward women-led innovations in areas like maternal care, mental health, reproductive justice, and aging, WFCO helps close gaps in care, spark economic mobility, and ensure that women and non-binary individuals have the tools to lead healthier, more empowered lives.

“Women can and should have for-profit businesses. I learned a new perspective of investing in businesses that isn’t about extraction, but about collaboration, generosity, and community. Offering generous terms to businesses is refreshing. It was wonderful to hear feedback from the two organizations we invested that never thought it was possible to receive a below-market rate loan. It also felt good to offer debt to these businesses vs. grants because as the organizations pay back their loans, the money will be used again for other women-owned businesses."
