Donor-Advised Funds
Flexible and accessible. Convenient and easy.
Focus your philanthropy on the causes that matter the most to you by establishing a donor-advised fund (DAF) at WFCO. WFCO is your home for individual, corporate, and nonprofit funds.
A DAF is a philanthropic tool allowing donors to make charitable contributions, receive an immediate tax benefit, and recommend grants to their favorite nonprofit organizations from the fund over time. WFCO is proud to offer a $2,500 match to all new funds thanks to the generosity of the Ruth Ray Hunt Fund, a donor-advised fund held at The Women's Foundation of Colorado.
Why Start a Donor-Advised Fund?
- Experiencing a liquidity event
- Seeking to reduce taxable income
- Avoiding the complexities that come with starting a private foundation
- Wanting the option to give anonymously
- Strategic philanthropy
Whether you’re passionate about advancing women and girls, arts, environmentalism, or anything in, DAFS at WFCO can grant to any 501(c)3 organization in the U.S. By choosing WFCO as your donor-advised fund partner, you’ll have access to our deep community connections and gender-lens expertise to strategize and cultivate your philanthropic passions and legacy.
The Foundation offers two investment portfolios for donors managed by Syntrinsic Investment Counsel. A long-term, unitized portfolio, which is currently 27.8 percent gender-lens invested as of December 2019, and a 100-percent gender-lens portfolio, which no other community foundation in Colorado offers.

WFCO is proud to host several giving circles, a space where our donors give collectively and connect for meaningful conversations, thoughtful grantmaking, and community building.
Giving circles are formed by individuals with shared passions, identities, or experiences. WFCO currently hosts several giving circles with missions ranging from global philanthropy to impact investing and entrepreneurship.
