Women Thriving. Colorado Rising.

Colorado Springs Self-Sufficiency Standard Release Event

What does it really take to make it in El Paso County?

The income needed to meet the costs of basic needs has increased in all Colorado counties since 2001, and El Paso County is at the top of the list. According to Forbes, from 2017 to 2018, Colorado Springs ranked No. 1 among the nation’s cities with fastest rising costs of living. Women, particularly single mothers, experience higher levels of income inadequacy and are more likely to struggle.
