Denver Metro Area Self Sufficiency Standard Release Event
What does it really take to make it in the Denver Metro area?
Featuring a Recap of WFCO's Public Policy Results This Legislative Session
The income needed to meet the costs of basic needs has increased in all Colorado counties since 2001, and Denver Metro counties are at the top of the list. In fact, 65% of workers in the ten most common occupations in Denver are in occupations with median wages insufficient to support a family with young children. Women, particularly single mothers, experience higher levels of income inadequacy and are more likely to struggle.
