Boulder Regional Committee

Recognizing the power of collective action, the Boulder County Regional Committee was created in service to actively engaging local community members with WFCO's work. Through planning an annual benefit concert, participating in and sponsoring activities of other area women’s organizations, and supporting educational events throughout the year, the Boulder County Regional Committee takes a leadership role in growing regional strategic philanthropy and advancing women in all facets of life.

By supporting WFCO, you will be working towards systemic change with others from your community to address the following issues facing Colorado women and girls:

  • In Boulder County, 11% percent of the women are living at poverty level.

  • Women working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields earn 33% more than in other fields and according to Inc. Magazine, almost 17% of Boulder’s jobs require a STEM bachelor’s degree or higher, but women represent only 24% of the STEM workforce.

  • In Boulder County, single mothers earn approximately $32,000, and the cost of child care can be nearly half their income.
