Partnerships
The Women's Foundation values and relies on partnerships and alliances to carry out its mission.
Collaborative Fund for Youth-Led Social Change
The Women's Foundation is working with the Ms. Foundation, 18 funders from across the nation, and 12 grantee partners on the Collaborative Fund for Youth-Led Social Change (CFYS) Initiative. This multi-year learning collaboration has awarded $1.4 million in grants to support youth working to positively change their communities. In Colorado, Students 4 Justice, a program of the Colorado Progressive Coalition which organizes youth in their schools to identify and change policies of racial discrimination, was awarded one of the prestigious grants and will participate in the collaboration along with the Women's Foundation. Women's Summit
In 2000, 50 powerful women leaders came together at the Women's Summit to answer one very important question... "What can we do together to impact policy and funding that enhances economic self-sufficiency for women in Colorado?" The purpose was to develop a Plan of Action and implement one or more collaborative projects. A year later, on October 19, 2001, the Women's Foundation co-sponsored the 2001 Women's Summit with the Women's Bureau U.S. Department of Labor, Storage Technology Corporation and the Chambers Family Fund. Over 80 women convened to build on the momentum of the initial Summit and review progress of activities.
