Volunteer Opportunities at The WFCO Denver offices
There are many opportunities for volunteers to contribute their time and talents at the Women's Foundation. It is important to note that we are not a direct service agency, so there are usually no opportunities to work directly with women in need. Most of our volunteer opportunities center around our annual Denver Luncheon in November, with opportunities starting in September and October. We also frequently have smaller events with occasional needs for volunteers from February through June, on a case by case basis. We freqently need volunteer support with administrative tasks in the office. Committee membership is by invitation only, but we encourage you to become involved with The WFCO in other capacities to learn if committee membership is right for you. If you are interested in helping us, please fill out this Volunteer Form, and return it to Kelly Fox.
Regional Committees
WFCO has active regional committees in Aspen and Grand Junction, and committees in the formative stages in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fort Collins, and Steamboat Springs. A variety of opportunities exist across the state for volunteers to be engaged in the work of The Foundation. Call us at 800-847-6036 or 303-285-2960 or email wfco@wfco.org to find out more.
Special Projects
Denver Gender Matters Luncheon
The Denver Gender Matters Luncheon is the Foundation's largest single funraising event each year. The work begins each year in the spring, as we begin lining up sponsorships and selling tables and tickets. All the efforts culminate with the luncheon in November. But the time in between is filled with a long list of tasks, which includes dozens of different volunteers opportunities.
Educational Forums
The Women's Foundation is committed to educating our communities and decision makers about the myriad issues affecting women's efforts to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Toward that end we offer educational forums all year long, in Denver and around the state. These events provide volunteer opportunities in everything from event planning to presenting the educational program.
